Refund Policy

At PresentParent, we want you to be completely satisfied with our service. This policy explains how refunds work for both monthly and annual subscriptions.

1. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all new subscriptions:

  • If you're not satisfied with PresentParent for any reason, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase
    • If you're not satisfied with PresentParent for any reason, you can request a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase
    • This applies to both monthly and annual plans
    • You'll receive a 100% refund of your payment
    • No questions asked

    Note: The 7-day guarantee only applies to your first subscription payment. Renewals are subject to the policies below.

2. Monthly Subscription Refunds

2.1 After 7-Day Guarantee Period

After the initial 14-day guarantee period:

  • You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time
  • No refunds for partial months, but access continues until end of billing period
  • ```

  • You can cancel at any time to prevent future charges
  • You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period
  • No refund will be issued for the current month

2.2 How to Cancel

To cancel your monthly subscription:

  1. Log in to your PresentParent account
  2. Go to Settings → Subscription
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm cancellation

Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again.

3. Annual Subscription Refunds

3.1 Within First 7 Days

If you cancel within 7 days of purchase, you'll receive a full refund of your annual subscription fee.

3.2 After 7 Days - Pro-Rated Refunds

After the 7-day guarantee period, annual subscriptions are eligible for pro-rated refunds based on unused time:

Refund Calculation:

Refund Amount = (Annual Price ÷ 365) × Remaining Days

3.1 Within First 14 Days

If you cancel within 14 days of purchase, you'll receive a full refund of your annual subscription fee.

Example: If you paid $62 for an annual plan and cancel after 3 months (90 days used), you'd have 275 days remaining. Your refund would be approximately $42.

3.3 Important Notes

  • Pro-rated refunds are only available for the first 11 months of your annual subscription
  • No refunds are issued in the last 30 days of your annual period
  • Processing fees may be deducted from refund amount (typically 2-5%)

4. How to Request a Refund

4.1 Refund Request Process

  2. Include your registered email address
  3. State your reason for the refund (optional but helpful)
  4. Specify if you want to cancel immediately or at period end

4.2 Processing Time

  • We'll review your request within 2 business days
  • Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds are returned to your original payment method
  • Bank processing may take an additional 5-7 business days

Note: Payment processor fees (Paddle/Paystack) are typically non-refundable and may be deducted from your refund amount. This usually ranges from 2-5% of the transaction.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Account violations: If your account is terminated due to violation of our Terms of Service
  • Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback instead of requesting a refund through us
  • Partial months: We don't provide refunds for partial months of service
  • Change of mind after use: After the 7-day guarantee period, continued use indicates acceptance
  • Technical issues on your end: Device incompatibility, internet connectivity issues, etc.

6. Special Circumstances

6.1 Service Downtime

If PresentParent experiences significant downtime (more than 24 consecutive hours) due to our error, you may be eligible for a service credit or pro-rated refund.

6.2 Price Changes

If we increase our subscription prices, existing subscribers will be notified 30 days in advance. You can cancel before the new price takes effect without penalty.

6.3 Accidental Purchases

If you accidentally purchase a subscription (duplicate purchase, wrong plan, etc.), contact us immediately. We'll work with you to resolve the issue, which may include a full refund regardless of the 7-day period.

7. Payment Method Specific Policies

7.1 Credit/Debit Card Payments

Refunds to credit/debit cards typically appear within 5-10 business days after approval.

7.2 Bank Transfer Payments (Nigerian Customers)

Refunds via bank transfer may take 3-5 business days after approval. You may need to provide bank account details for the refund.

7.3 Mobile Money (Paystack)

Mobile money refunds are processed within 24-48 hours after approval.

8. Automatic Renewals

Important: All subscriptions automatically renew unless you cancel before the renewal date. To avoid being charged:

  • Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date
  • You'll receive reminder emails 7 days and 3 days before renewal
  • Check your renewal date in Dashboard → Settings → Subscription

Once a renewal payment is processed, it's subject to the refund policies outlined above (no 7-day guarantee on renewals).

9. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback.

If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first:

  • Your account will be immediately suspended
  • You won't be eligible for future refunds
  • We may dispute the chargeback with evidence of service delivery
  • Chargeback fees ($15-25) may be added to your account

We're committed to fair resolution. Contact us first and we'll work it out together.

10. Data After Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your data remains accessible until the end of your billing period
  • After cancellation, your data is retained for 90 days
  • You can reactivate within 90 days and retain all your data
  • After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted
  • You can request immediate data deletion by emailing us

11. Currency and Exchange Rates

For international customers:

  • Prices are displayed in your local currency based on your location
  • Refunds are issued in the currency of your original payment
  • Exchange rate fluctuations may affect refund amounts
  • We use the exchange rate at the time of refund processing

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. If we make material changes:

  • We'll notify you via email at least 30 days in advance
  • The updated policy will be posted on this page
  • The "Last updated" date at the top will be changed
  • Continued use after changes indicates acceptance
